Miracle did not happen: Transcarpathia fails mobilization plans

Transcarpathia holds the penultimate place in Ukraine on mobilization.

As of now, the region has fulfilled the plan of the 6th wave of mobilization by 27 percent. This is the penultimate figure in Ukraine, just above Ivano-Frankivsk region - 25 percent. In terms of individual units, the worst performance is in Volovets district (4%), Vynogradiv district (10%) and Tyachiv district (13%). The best is in the city of Beregovo - 88% (despite the fact that the city fulfilled the previous 5th wave of mobilization with the lowest figure in the region), Perechyn district (65%) and Velyky Berezny district (50%). As for cities of regional importance, Uzhgorod fulfilled the mobilization plan by 35%, Mukachevo - by 38%, Khust - by 17%, Chop - by 27% - the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration reported.

They quoted its head: Hennadiy Moskal sees two reasons for the failure of mobilization. First, the "anarchy in the districts." Second, approaching local elections. "Because of that, village, town and city mayors do not want to engage in mobilization, in order to keep the electorate. In the near future I will personally meet with village heads in some districts and remind them that elections are elections, but the sabotage of mobilization is punishable", - Moskal said.
