Energy companies ask Transcarpathians... for help. Save!
The State Energy Inspectorate in Transcarpathian region informs how to save on tariffs and help the energy sector to balance the daily curve of electrical loads.
The daily load curve of the united energy system of Ukraine has a considerable disbalance. It is characterized by peak load in the evening hours, drop of load in night hours, and almost uniform consumption of electric power during morning and afternoon hours of the day.
The difference between the maximum and minimum consumption of electrical power during the day in winter is more than 8,000 MW, and in the summer - 5,000 MW. This leads to significant consumption of fuel at thermal power plants because of the need of daily start-stops of about 10 units. As a result, we have overconsumption of fuel and rising cost of the electricity produced.
In Ukraine, there is a special mechanism of payment for electricity that makes it possible to positively influence the form of daily load curve. It is tariffs differentiated by time periods. Under market conditions this instrument is one of the most effective means of management of the demand for electricity power.
Many consumers, who now pay by differentiated tariffs, belong to the "Industry" group and considerably influence the daily load curve of this group, because the proportion of such consumers in this group is about 50%. Meanwhile, the share of domestic consumers paying by differentiated tariffs is only about 0.8% of the total number, and their consumption of electricity in 2014 amounted to approximately 2.0% of the total electricity consumption by population.
All this shows the lack of the population's awareness about the opportunities to save money for electricity depending on the day periods of its use.
To facilitate the work of the energy system of Ukraine, consumers are encouraged to switch to payments by tariffs differentiated by time periods. The use of such tariffs will allow to effectively save money for electricity.
Switching to the differentiated tariffs is seasy - you only have to apply to the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC with the appropriate request, where you will receive full cooperation and all the necessary explanations.
