At the "Lemko Vatra", people will pray for an end to war

Already on Sunday, August 16, the festival "Lemko Vatra" will take place, this time in the village of Kostryno in Velyky Berezny district. The organizers plan to start the event with a prayer for deported Lemkos and for the soldiers who died at the hands of the Russian-terrorist gangs. This was reported by the head of the All-Ukrainian society "Lemkivschyna" Vasyl Mulesa. There will also be a solemn procession with the banner of Ukraine sewed by members of the society. It has a record length of 100 meters.

Ethnic Lemko culture will be widely represented in Kostryno. Vasyl Mulesa adds that they expect visitors from near and far abroad, and Lemkos from Ukraine and Russia. Of course, there will be obligatory kindling of Lemko bonfire. The organizers plan to finish the festival with a prayer for an end of the war with Russia.
