Ukraine is preparing to enact free trade area with the EU on January 1 - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Ukraine continues preparations for establishment of free trade area with the European Union on January 1, 2016.
This was announced by the Deputy Foreign Minister for European Integration Olena Zerkal, the UNIAN reported.
In particular, the Deputy Minister said that the Ukrainian government assumes that the Association Agreement is signed and ratified.
"Now the ratification of the Agreement in the member states of the European Union continues. We are preparing for implementation of the part related to the creation of a free trade are on January 1, 2016, and creating all the necessary regulatory framework for this so that the part relating to the FTA is enacted immediately" - Zerkal said.
Earlier, it was reported that Russia wants to postpone the entry into force of the FTA agreement between Ukraine and the EU for another year.
