Transcarpathians paid tribute to the daughter of the famous artist Havrylo Hlyuk (PHOTOS)

On April 27, Valentina Hluyk-Alexandrova would have turned 61. But this winter, the star of this charming woman began shining in heavens.

For the family, numerous friends and acquaintances, warmth, blooming and inspiration of this spring day will always remind of a sincere asserting power that Valentina Hlyuk-Alexandrova radiated.

In Uzhgorod, in the art cafe VOTO, there was a memorial event dedicated to the anniversary of Valentina (Anichka) Hlyuk-Alexandrova. Her family members and regional intellectuals were remembering her with sadness and deep love, respect and gratitude for the continual goodness of this woman.

Valentina Hlyuk-Alexandrova for 36 years worked as a music teacher, took an active part in the cultural life of Transcarpathia, promoting and organizing many exhibitions and plein airs, enriching the cultural environment of the region with interesting art essays, particularly about her father – renowned Transcarpathian artist Havrylo Hlyuk. 

The visitors of the event were presented unique photos and videos from the family archive and collection of 15 portraits of Valentina Hlyuk-Alexandrova painted by her father over the years.

By the way, Valentina Hlyuk-Alexandrova was one of the ideological inspirers of the art cafe VOTO.

The exhibition will run until April 30.
