Transcarpathian orienteers brought silver and gold medals from Easter competition (PHOTOS)
On Easter Sunday, the 33th half marathon "Hornad Valley Race" (33. ročník polmaratón Beh Hornádskou Dolinou) took place in the Slovak village of Kysak. Professional marathon runner Victor Starodubtsev from Lviv finished the 21-kilometer race the first among almost two hundred participants with the score of one hour and 11 minutes. 24-year-old resident of Mukachevo Serhiy Raschupkin finished 57 seconds after the winner and became the silver medalist. Slovak Adrian Vavryk won the third place.
In the competition among women, Sofia Yaremchuk from Pustomyty in Lviv region won the champion title in a difficult race (1:22.31), followed by Uzhgorod athlete Natalia Malaya (1:29.08) and Slovak Zuzana Stanovcakova (1:32.18).
Anatoliy Maly from Uzhgorod finished the first in the category of veterans over 40 years with the score of 1:16.43.
