Immediately after the event, we briefly talked with the Transcarpathian by phone:
- Serhiy, congratulations on a high result. How was the race?
- I am satisfied with my result, but I was hoping to do better. Perhaps, I was affected by the heat and fatigue - after all, it was the third half marathon for me within the last two weeks. Also, two days before the event, I participated in the orienteering championship of Ukraine.
- How did you like the competition?
- Yes, in terms of organization, everything was at the highest level. However, the holiday was marred by a tragic event - one of the athletes felt ill after the finish and they could not save his life..
