New leadership of the Transcarpathian Regional Court of Appeal have been elected
On April 27, at the meeting of the Transcarpathian Regional Court of Appeal, there was the election of the chief judge and his deputies. The election was conducted by secret ballot in accordance with the law. Two candidates were running for the chairman of the court: Mykola Krehul and Vitaliy Drobotya.
As a result of a secret ballot, by a majority of votes of the total number of the regional Court of Appeal judges, Vitaly Drobotya was elected as the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Court of Appeal. Also, the meeting of judges elected two deputy chairmen. They are Serhiy Pavlichenko and Yuriy Goshovsky.
By the way, the day before, the chief judge Mykola Krehul and his deputies resigned due to expiry of their terms on administrative posts.
Recall that in accordance with Part 2 of Art. 20 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Judicial System", the Chairman of the Court of Appeal shall be elected for a term of two years but not more than his or her term of office, by secret ballot by a majority of the judges who work in this court.
None of the elected leaders of the Court of Appeal held the said administrative positions in this court before the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine "On lustration of power".
