Mukachevo policemen rescued s suicide, who had jumped off the seven meter high bridge

At 03.40, a resident of Mukachevo reported to the city police that he had heard cries for help from the river. The investigative team of Mukachevo city police department and the detention group of the State Protection Service immediately arrived at the scene.

A resident of Mukachevo, walking home across the bridge over the Latorytsia river, heard a woman's voice from the water who called for help. The man immediately called the police.

About four o'clock in the morning, officers of the State Protection Service and the investigative team of Mukachevo city police arrived to the bridge. In the river, the police officers saw a woman and immediately began rescuing her.

Fortunately, the woman did not suffer any serious injury, and the river was not deep - about 60 cm.

As it later turned out, the police officers rescued a 39-year-old resident of Irshava district who works in Mukachevo. It was found out that she did not want to go home after work because of constant quarrels with her mother. So, she decided to solve her problems by suicide and jumped off the bridge which is about 7 meters high. Fortunately, with the help of the passerby and police officers, the woman received a chance to start all over again.

An ambulance was also called to the scene, doctors took the victim to the hospital with a diagnosis of general hypothermia. At this time, the woman is being treated in the trauma department of Mukachevo Central District Hospital and fortunately her condition is satisfactory.
