Instead of a punishment for fatal accident, 65,000 UAH incentive? (PHOTOS, DOCUMENTS)

Perechyn judge Victor Amarovych, who 9 months ago caused a fatal accident while intoxicated, is still working at Perechyn court.

Recall that this terrible accident occurred outside the village of Dubrivka on the highway Kyiv-Chop. on July 9, 2014. According to witnesses, the driver of a Mitsubishi Pajero for no apparent reason drove onto the oncoming lane, although at the time there were very few cars on the road, and crashed into the car of the victim - a blue VAZ. A two-year child lost a father, a young wife lost a husband.

The victim - Uzhgorod resident Oleksandr Shutko with the daughter Oksana.

Nine months later, Transcarpathian prosecutors still can not bring the case to court. All possible means of delaying the investigation are used, the number of examinations of the judge Amarovych is shocking! According to the Democratic Alliance, they are now conducting various examinations at all possible private facilities to save the judge.

Also, it appears that after this terrible accident, the judge took a sick leave for three months, during which he received 53,000 UAH of sick pay and additional 12,000 UAH of "material aid". Thus the government supports drunk judges. There have been no financial penalties, fines or reprimands against him.

Instead, the widow of the deceased has not received any compensation. Interesting logic: if a judge kills a person, he (the judge) suffers mental trauma, we must help him financially and give him bonus. Instead of punishment...

Recall tha July 22 last year, there was a picketing of Perechyn district court with the demand of the resignation of Amarovych. Voluntary, because prosecution of judges is a very complicated procedure. Then it was reported that the judge had written a letter of resignation. This information was confirmed by the Public Convention of Uzhgorod Euromaidan.

They stressed the following: Amarovych resigned from the post of the court chairman, but did not resign the powers and status of a judge.

The Democratic Alliance activists have repeatedly sent numerous appeals to the Parliament of Ukraine (Committee on the rule of law and justice), the Prosecutor of the Transcarpathian region, Ukraine's Prosecutor General, the High Council of Justice of Ukraine, the Council of Judges of Ukraine, the President of Ukraine, but to no avail. All of them answered that immunity status of a judge can be removed only by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine after a petition of the General Prosecutor's Office.

The answer of the Transcarpathian prosecution office to the activists's appeal

The Prosecutor General's Office is currently awaiting for the results of an investigation from the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office. What can they possibly investigate for nine months - only the prosecutor knows. It seems that it is just a delay of the investigation.

We can only hope for the reforms promised by the President Petro Poroshenko.
