In Transcarpathia, a jewelry store robber was detained

In Uzhgorod, on Sunday, when most of the townspeople were on holiday religious worships, the robber decided to quietly sneak into a jewelry store 

Breaking a window glass and damaging the internal bars, the robber entered the room. At that time, the police officers received an alarm signal.

- Around 23.20, the central monitoring station of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region received an alarm signal. Our unit was nearby, so in a minute we arrived at the scene, where we arrested the offender - one of the police officers said.

During a personal search, the police found on the detainee a radio tracking device, which the man planned to use to track down the arrival of the police, and a tool to cut metal.

It was found out that the detainee was a 30-year-old unemployed resident of a village in Uzhgorod district, previously convicted of similar crimes.

The investigative team of Uzhgorod city police was called at the scene. The punishment for the suspect will be determined by the investigation, but it should be added that a possible imprisonment will not be a surprise for the 30-year-old man, because spent seven and a half years of his life in prison for similar crimes.
