For two months in a row, Ukrainians have been selling more currency than buying

In March 2015, Ukrainians sold foreign currency at USD 129.2 million more than bought from banks, and the trend of excess of foreign currency supply over demand in the cash market continues for the second month in a row.

It was reported by the UNIAN referring to the National Bank.

According to the NBU, banks bought from individuals 169,100,000 dollars, and sold 39,900,000 dollars. In January-March, net sales of currency by individuals amounted to 236.2 million dollars.

Bank deposits of individuals in freely convertible currency (in dollar terms) declined by 963 million dollars – to 11.424 billion dollars as of April 1.

As reported, in February 2015, Ukrainians for the first time since June 2014 sold more foreign currency than bought. Net sales of currency by individuals was 126.4 million dollars.
