Yesterday, a citizen of Hungary driving a car "Opel Vectra" tried to smuggle hair care products from Slovakia to Ukraine through the customs post "Uzhgorod" of the Transcarpathian customs office.

Her idea suffered fiasco step by step. First, customs officers transferred the foreigner's car from the "green corridor", which she had chosen, to the box for in-depth inspection. Second, the recesses underneath the luggage compartment that contained 128 plastic bottles, black cloth that covered 65 bottles on the back passenger seat, rubber mat on the floor of the car under the front passenger seat - 25 bottles, another 25 bottles on the floor under the driver's seat covered with a rubber mat, 18 bottles - on a shelf behind the rear row of passenger seats in the car covered with black cloth, 84 plastic bottles - in a niche for a spare wheel, covered with a felt pad - all those caches were found by customs officers, and their contents, that is 345 bottles of "hair care products" were seized.

In her explanation, the foreigner said that the goods hidden from customs control were her property, and that she had hidden them to avoid paying import duties.

Thus, the citizen committed acts aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control, using means that hinder their detection and specially made caches.

These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Currently, the vehicle and the goods have been seized, the press service of the SFS of Transcarpathia informs.
