Uzhgorod police caught a "garage" thief

A few days ago, a 61-year-old local resident turned for help to Uzhgorod policemen.The retiree reported that an unknown person, by damaging the padlock on the door of his garage, had stolen from there a gearbox, two titanium discs and two shock absorbers for the car. 

Soon, the city police department criminal investigation offices found out that this theft had been committed by a 27-year-old previously convicted resident of Uzhgorod. For a long time, this person has not been working anywhere. 

The young thief was preparing to his crimes in advance.  He would steal everything that would come to hand. Then, he would sell stolen items on one of the local markets.

The Investigation Division of Uzhgorod Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (burglary), which is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to six years.

The final decision in the case of the serial "garage" thief will be made by the court - Diana Dorohiy, Uzhgorod City Police reported.
