Transcarpathian Party of Regions members complain to Azarov about his subordinates (document)
Transcarpathian regional deputies from the Party of Regions - the Deputy Chairman of the regional council, Volodymyr Zakureny, the Deputy Governor Mykhailo Popovich and the Advisor to the Governor Mykhailo Tsiryk sent an appeal to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, in which they complain about the actions of his subordinates, who, in the opinion of Transarpathian Party of Regions members, neglect orders of the President. It's about Yanukovych's order on preservation of unique primeval beech forests of the Carpathians and improvement of mountain settlements in Transcarpathian region.
So far, both the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and the government officials have been ignoring the presidential orders. Thus, by June 2013, the regional authorities and the railways service were supposed to have resolved the issue of restoration of railway communication Kyiv-Rakhiv. By the end of last year, the regional authorities were to have resolved the issue regarding the collection, storage and disposal of waste in areas adjacent to the territory of the Ukrainian part of Ukrainian-Slovak-German natural UNESCO World Heritage Site "Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians". In addition, by 2015 the authorities should have implemented pilot projects to retrofit heating systems in the mountain settlements of Transcarpathian region into systems using alternative fuels. Also, Viktor Yanukovych instructed the head of government and the Transcarpathian Regional Administration to ensure within the same term the implementation of measures to restore the destroyed vehicle bridge across the Tisa river and the creation of the necessary border infrastructure on Ukrainian-Romanian state border in the village of Dilove in Rakhiv district of Transcarpathian region.
None of those items of the order have yet been implemented. Transcarpathian Party of Regions members inform Mykola Azarov that "some government officials are cleverly trying to shift responsibility for the implementation of the President's order from one agency to another, and all together - to the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration... In our opinion, responsible employees of the central government neglect the implementation of the orders of senior government officials."
