The relationship between state and church will be researched in UzhNU
By the order of the rector of UzhNU Fedir Vashchuk, a new division has been formed in the university - the first in Ukraine Research institute of church-state law and church-state relations, the university media center reported.
Church-state law is the branch of public law, which includes the legal standards set by state law, regulations of international and European law regulating the legal status of churches and religious organizations in state and church-state relations in general.
The task of the new unit is the study of law in the area of church-state law and church-state relations, preparation of national and regional programs, the analysis of the practice of the law implementation and, on this basis of that, the development of methods of cooperation between churches and religious organizations on the one hand and state authorities on the other hand, and so on.
Doctor of Theology, Doctor of Law, assistant professor of criminal law courses and international criminal law of Uzhgorod National University, member of the Czech and Austrian scientific societies of church law, Archimandrite Yevfrosyn (Oleksandr Bilash) was appointed as the Acting Director of the Research institute of church-state law and church-state relations of Uzhgorod National University.
