The number of immigrants from Ukraine is growing rapidly
During 2013, the number of Ukrainians, who left the country in search of a better life, increased 2.5 times in comparison with that in 2012. These data were published by the State Statistics Service.
Over the past year, more than 18 thousand people have changed the citizenship of Ukraine to citizenship of other countries. Mostly, Ukrainians go to EU countries, Canada, USA, Israel and Australia.
In addition, the number of people who received a Ukrainian passport has decreased. In 2013, there were slightly more than 41 thousand such people, which is 20% less than that a year earlier.
In terms of the number of immigrants, Ukraine is behind only of Mexico, India, Russia and China. It is noted that Ukraine loses not only laborers, but also graduates who could work for the country if they had the necessary conditions and opportunities.
