The government assure that that they have eliminated all outstanding payments of pensions and social benefits
Despite the long Christmas and New Year holidays, payments of pensions and social payments in January 2014 are made on schedule. This is possible because these payments from the budget were made last year - December 30, 2013 - to all post offices and bank branches in the amount of about 2.4 billion hryvnias.
As of January 9, the Government has funded more than 6 billion hryvnias of pensions, and pensions are paid regularly. According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, in the last days of the last year, as instructed by the Head of State, all outstanding payments of wages and social benefits from the budget were eliminated.
Currently, pensions are paid in accordance with the schedule - from the 4th to the 25th day of each month without delay.
