The date of the most delicious festival in Transcarpathia is already known (PROGRAM)
24-25 of January 2014, in the village of Hecha in Beregovo district, Transcarpathian region, there will be the festival and contest of butchers. Each of them has his own method to kill a pig. The important thing is to do it very quickly so that animal would not suffer. It affects the taste of meat. By an ancient Hungarian custom, for each pig killed, a butcher is given a glass of vodka. And guests, who come to the opening of the festival, are generously treated with wine, vodka and mulled wine.
But slaughtering a pig is not the most important thing in the butcher's job. A butcher must quickly and correctly cut the carcass. And numerous guests will be treated with first dishes cooked with fresh meat. The program includes master classes in stew, goulash and bograch cooking. Welcome to the delicious feast!
