Police appealed to Transcarpathians on the Internet

On the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region, they published the appeal, signed by the PR Sector of the Office. The text refers to the open calls "of individuals and online media to commit group breaches of the peace, occupy and block state institutions…". But, in fact, no such calls have been published in Transcarpathian Internet space. Only citations of people, but not calls.

So, the text of the statement is below.

"Appeal to Transcarpathians

Transcarpathian police are concerned that some individuals and online media openly call on Transcarpathians to commit group breaches of the peace, occupy and block government offices, transport facilities etc.

We would like to warn anyone who intends to violate the law that all those involved in crimes will be brought to justice. Under the current law, group violations of public order is a criminal offense and shall be punishable by imprisonment for up to 6 years.

We once again appeal to citizens to not give in to provocations, ignore extremist calls and remain calm, respect the rights and freedoms of others, comply with the law. There is no use in destructive actions, blocking of government agencies and other institutions. Be sensible, considerate and follow the rule of law!

PR Sector of the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region."
