On New Year's Eve, some people make wishes and look forward to their realization. But, unfortunately, there are those who go the easiest way - breaking the law. Therefore, even on holidays, policemen have to protect citizens from the worst offenders.

At midnight, while patrolling the area, inspectors of Uzhgorod city police department noticed two suspicious men near one of the educational institutions. They had just damaged a window to the basement and were trying to get inside.

The unfortunate thieves were two unemployed residents of Uzhgorod: a 21-year-old Stepan and his 28-year-old friend Valery. The offenders admitted that they were going to steal from the basement various metal products that could be sold. However, the policemen stopped them.

Currently, the case is under investigation - Diana Dorohiy, Uzhgorod City Police Department reported.
