Today in Uzhgorod, protesters and concerned citizens registered in the public reception of MP Vasyl Kovacs an appeal with the request to withdraw his vote under laws that were passed by show of hands on January 16.

The activists gathered on Teatralna Square, then near the reception of the MP they read out the text of the appeal, the main point of which was the demand to withdraw the vote of the deputy, elected to the Parliament in Uzhgorod constituency number 68, under the "dictatorship laws" - Zakarpattya online reported.

"Uzhgorod does not need a deputy who votes for dictatorship in Ukraine and tries to turn Uzhgorod residents, and Ukrainians in general, into disenfranchised slaves! Therefore, we are sending Vasyl Kovacs the appeal demanding to withdraw his vote for those "laws." Otherwise, in the future we will begin to hold large-scale pickets of any activity of the MP" - the activists said.

Then, all those present unanimously voted for the proposed text of the appeal and all without exception set their signatures under the appeal. Representatives brought the document to the public reception, where the appeal was registered.

So now, protesters will be waiting for 30 days for a response from the deputy. However, it may come sooner and probably the response of V. Kovacs will be known in the near future.
