Ledyda did not confirm the mobilization of Transcarpathian law enforcement

Today, after the "loud picket" of the RSA, delegates of the protesters met with the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda.

In addition to political questions - such as whether he considered the "laws" passed on on January 16 legitimate (to which he answered "yes") and whether he was ready to withdraw from the Party of Regions (no), he was also asked whether the rumors about departure of 70 police officers to Kyiv were true.

This information has been spread in social networks and between activists since last night. The Governor said he did not know anything about that. But he will check with the General Vartsaba, who is rumored to head the police unit. Oleksandr Ledyda promised to circulate the information received through his press office soon.

However, there is information - from sources in the police - that about 30 policemen indeed have been sent to Kyiv. Information about soldiers of internal troops is currently unavailable.
