In Rakhiv, a homemade brass knuckles was found on a 29-year-old man
The man admitted that he had made the weapons himself and was carrying it for self-defense.
Law enforcement officers received information that a resident of one of the villages in Rakhiv district was walking the village with brass knuckles. To check this information, the said citizen was stopped on the street and invited to the police station, where he voluntarily took the brass knuckles out of a jacket pocket and gave it to policemen.
A criminal proceeding was initiated over this incident under Part 2 of Art.263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (wearing bladed weapons without a permit). Such actions can be punished by fine in amount of up to fifty minimum incomes, community service for a period of up to two hundred forty hours, arrest for up to six months, restriction of liberty for up to five years, or imprisonment for up to three years - Olesya Tchaikovska, Rakhiv District Police reported.
