A memorial plaque to convicted will be opened in Uzhgorod

February 8-9, at the History Faculty of Uzhgorod National University, there will be an international scientific conference "Religious and political transformations in Central and Eastern Europe in the first half of the twentieth century." (On the 100th anniversary of the Second Sziget/Maramures Trial of 1913-1914). During the event, there will be the opening of a commemorative plaque in honor of people convicted on the trial of 1913-1914, as well as the tour of Orthodox monasteries in the diocese - one of the organizers of the event, historian, researcher of Orthodox monasteries in the region Yuriy Danilets informed.
