The National Bank will set an indicative exchange rate of hryvnia

The National Bank decided to establish a new rate of the hryvnia – the indicative rate.

This is stated in the letter of the National Bank №24-008 / 54205 dd. September 24, the "Ukrainski Novyny" informed.

"Please be advised that the banking community, together with the largest economic operators (exporters and importers), in order to stabilize the panic and prevent fluctuations in the financial system decided to establish the indicative exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia," – it state.

NBU will be posting daily the information about this rate and indicative rates of other major currencies on its page in the information system Thomson-Reuters NBU01.

Indicative hryvnia exchange rate is the benchmark that banks may take into account when making transactions on the interbank market.

As reported, now in Ukraine, there are 3 rates of the hryvnia: the official, interbank and cash.
