Recently, Oleksiy Umansky, the host of the morning show "Get Uppa" on the radio "Tisa-FM", while on air, called a Ukrainian choreographer Radu Poklitaru who will visit Uzhgorod this week with his theater "Kyiv Modern Ballet". In the interview on "Tisa-FM, Radu Poklitaru told what his favourite drink was, what record the "Kyiv Modern Ballet" would set in Uzhgorod, what is impossible on stage, and many other interesting facts.
In the interview, the famous Ukrainian choreographer revealed several personal and professional secrets. His production "IN PIVO VERITAS" performed by the "Kyiv Modern Ballet" is a sort of dedication to this drink - it starts and ends with a large glass of beer. But in reality, artists drink on stage near beer, because dancing and alcohol are incompatible.
In Uzhgorod Radu Poklitaru will present another production - "Carmen.TV", which is significant for the artist. According to the choreographer, it is the first step, the production which brought the first award to the "Kyiv Modern Ballet" theater. Perhaps this is why, coming to a new city, he always shows "Carmen.TV". And Uzhgorod is no exception - on September 21, at 19.00, the production will be presented in the Transcarpathian regional theater.
The talented Ukrainian choreographer admitted that he was very excited about the first performance of his ballet in Uzhgorod. For members of the "KMB", it is a new geographical record - finally they will perform in the most western part of Ukraine. The choreographer advised Uzhgorod viewers to go to this show without prejudice, with an open mind. And if the audience have the desire to receive a piece of happiness, everything will turn out the best.
