More than 6,000 packs of cigarettes did not get to Hungary

Another offense at the state border with Hungary was prevented by Chop border guards.

While monitoring the section of the border, border patrol of the "Salovka" department detected signs of illegal border crossing. As a result of examination of the surrounding area, border guards found and detained on the bank of the Tisa River four unidentified men without IDs. Next to the offenders, there were 7 packages wrapped in black plastic wrap and a rubber boat. The detainees told border guards that they were citizens of Ukraine and intended to smuggle to Hungary a batch of cigarettes "FEST", "COMPLIMENT" and "NZ" in total amount of 6080 packs.

The offenders were taken to the department for drafting of administrative and procedural documents. The cigarettes were seized according to the established procedure and preliminary estimated at 42,560 UAH
