The former "governor" of the region, the head of Transcarpathian Organization of the Party of Regions Oleksnadr Ledyda began to sell the business. First of all, he plans to sell the stake in Transcarpathian solar power stations.
Ledyda’s family is among the founders of the company "Solar energy plus" LLC. The enterprise owns the largest solar power plant in Rativtsi, which is the largest in Western Ukraine. Its capacity is 5.4 MW. 17% of the company (7.65 million hryvnias) belongs to Oleksandra Ledyda-Pavlyuk. Another 17% (7.65 million hryvnias) belongs to Katerina Hembik, Ledyda’s younger daughter.
Last year, the enterprise built a solar power plant in the village of Andriyivka. Its design capacity is more than 10 MW, and after commissioning, it will be one of the largest solar power plants in the country.
Currently, all the electricity generated by the solar power plants is purchased by the Zakarpattyaoblenergo. Under the "green" tariff, the state pays plant owners 7.2 hryvnias for each kilowatt / hour of solar energy. The state pays solar energy producers almost 30 times more than the current average cost of electricity in the country.
