In Uzhgorod, a thief of railway parts was found
Officers of the transport police at the station Uzhgorod, having received the court permission to conduct a search in the apartment of the suspect to the crime, found stolen goods there. Moreover, the man was also keeping a bayonet-knife and ammunition.
Within a month, at the station Uzhgorod, a diesel generator, a metal track template and parts of upper track structure in total amount of 30 pieces were stolen.
Given that the perpetrator's actions directly affected the traffic safety, a number of search operations were organized and carried out that allowed to reasonably suspect a 36-year-old Uzhgorod resident of having committed the crime. Having the court permit, they conducted an authorised search at his apartment.
During the search, they found 7.62 mm cartridges for military automatic weapons, a bayonet-knife and parts of the upper track structure, which had disappeared from the railway station.
Citizen V. explained that he had found the ammunition and had intended to sell metal railway structures and parts for scrap.
