An updated checkpoint was opened in Selmentsi

On September 26, the head of the state fiscal service of Slovak Republic Frintishek Imreche will come to Transcarpathia. The official plans to participate in the inauguration of the reconstructed Slovak-Ukrainian pedestrian crossing "Mali Selmentsi-Velke Selmentsi."   

This year, from April 28 to May 30, 2014, the operation of the Slovak part of the pedestrian crossings on the Slovak-Ukrainian state border was temporarily suspended for the planned construction and repair works.

 According to the Chop border guard detachment, in 2013, 54,785 people crossed the checkpoint "Mali Selmentsi-Velke Selmentsi", including 2,476 citizens of Ukraine and 52,309 citizens of Slovakia.
