Vasyl Hubal asked students to help the authorities
On Wednesday, October 8, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal met with representatives of Transcarpathian youth - the Student Council of the region.
The Chairman of the Council Yuriy Bedey congratulated the new head of the region on the appointment and added that students expect help from the authorities.
First of all, students asked about the possibility of development of student exchange programs with European countries. Vasyl Hubal noted that the RSA would contribute to that and the educational department of the region emphasized that there are a lot of possibilities for that now, including participation in grant programs. Also, the regional authorities promised to support with official recommendations that are required for registration of students for study abroad.
Students asked whether the Transcarpathian Regional Administration could provide financial assistance in student projects. Assistance will be provided - according to applications prepared by students, ie, in a form close to the competition. Among other things, they discussed the measures to improve historic buildings, such as castles, and more. Young people also asked about participation of experts from the RSA in different events - lectures, seminars, educational programs, the authorities will contribute to this too.
Students asked for discount for bus travels and to increase the number of buses on "student" routes. On this occasion, a meeting with representatives of Uzhgorod City Council will be initiated, because such issues are solved at the level of the regional center.
Talking with students about the development of tourism and sport, Vasyl Hubal informed about personnel decisions: the youth and sports sphere in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration will be curated by a young Transcarpathian politician Denys Man. He also informed that at the RSA, there would be a department to deal with the development of the tourism industry. The head of the region stressed that he sees a great future in "green" - rural - tourism in the region and considers it necessary to pay increasing attention to this area.
Vasyl Hubal agreed with the young people about engaging active people to working in the government bodies and proposed to develop propositions. Students are invited to undergo training in regional government bodies - they agreed that it should done under the program covering the whole region. Vasyl Hubal said to young people that doors of the government offices are opened for them.
And also invited to be active in attracting partners, grant programs, international projects.
"We rely on you, youth. We are ready to help you, but we also ask for your help. Because only together we are going to succeed" - Vasyl Hubal said.
