Two persons want to run Onokivtsi for a year

This Sunday, in Onokivtsi of Uzhgorod district, there will be the election of the village head. Two persons run for the post - 29-year-old acting village head, nonpartisan Pavlo Mashika and 47-year-old representative of the "UDAR", entrepreneur Yaroslav Belen.

The powers of the previous Onokivtsi village head Victor Dmitruk were early terminated on February 19 by the decision of the deputies. The reason for that was the court decision, whereby the village leader was found guilty of corruption in the allocation of land.

The list of voters includes 2466 persons. The newly elected village head can run Onokivtsi only for one year - in October 2015, regular elections to local governments are planned to be held.
