Transcarpathian Regional Council will have a new chairman

The official vote count in the 73rd single-member constituency is almost over - almost 90% of the protocols have been processed.

Ivan Baloha - until now, the Chairman of the Regional Council - is surely winning there.

According to the Zakarpattya online, even his main competitor - Yevhen Yaryna - has already congratulated him.

So, since Mr. Baloha goes to work in the Parliament, a new chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council must be elected.

Apparently, this will be the main intrigue of the next plenary session of the Council, which is scheduled for October 31.

Vasyl Brenzovych, the first deputy chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, according to preliminary results will also become an MP (as a member of Petro Poroshenko Block), that means that the regional council will also have a new first deputy chairman.
