Members of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, during the first plenary meeting of the 19th session, appealed to the government to allocate funds for the purchase of housing for families of fallen soldiers - participants of the anti-terrorist operation - the press service of the regional council informed.

As previously reported, it was the initiative of the head of the RSA Vasyl Hubal, and the Council supported it.

"We, members of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, are deeply concerned

about the situation with the provision of housing for families of fallen Transcarpathian

soldiers who took part in the anti-terrorist operation

on the East.

According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine

dd. August 13, 2014 № 729-p, 23.6 million UAH was allocated for

the purchase of housing for families of fallen soldiers,

who participated in

anti-terrorist operations. However, Transcarpathian region did not receive

the money.

As of September 30, 2014, 24 Transcarpathian

soldiers - participants of the ATO - have been killed. According to the inspection of housing

conditions, nine families of fallen military servicemen

are in urgent need for better housing.

The appeal of the Regional State Administration dd. 15.09.2014 № 06-7 / 1807 to

the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for allocation of funds was not taken into account.

The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. September 23, 2014 № 476, whereby

additional 5.1 million UAH was allocated for housing for

military personnel and their families, does not provide for funds for Transcarpathian region either.

Given the above, due to the numerous appeals of

citizens and in order to relieve social tension, please provide funds for

purchase of housing for families of fallen Transcarpathian soldiers -

participants of the anti-terrorist operation" - the appeal reads.
