At the press conference of the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal on Friday, October 22, he talked about the beginning of the heating season in the region. As you know, Transcarpathia has almost completely switched to independent heating system, primarily at social institutions.
Therefore, problems, that sometimes occur in other regions, should not be expected here. However, the region is living in conditions of strict gas limits that cannot be exceeded – the issue of energy saving (primarily that of natural gas) is a matter of national importance. In the meantime, there is no reason to expect that institutions in the region will exceed the limits of gas consumption. There are appropriate orders – both from the central government and the regional authorities – on the beginning of the heating season.
The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration said: "Transcarpathia is 100% ready for the heating season. Local authorities will decide when to turn on boilers. It depends on the temperature. The main focus is on social institutions, especially educational ones: temperature requirements must be complied with there."
Given the expected colds, the heating season will start at the end of this – the beginning of next week across the region.
