To provide housing for families of soldiers killed in the ATO (APPEAL)

Members of the Regional Council again addressed the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the allocation of funds for the purchase of housing for the families of fallen soldiers – participants of the antiterrorist operation.

"We, members of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, have to re-appeal due to the fact that the situation with the provision of housing for families of fallen Transcarpathian soldiers, who have participated in the antiterrorist operation in the east of the country, unfortunately, has not changed.

The reason for this is that the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on August 13, 2014 № 729-p does not provide for allocation of funds to Transcarpathian region for the purchase of housing for families of fallen military servicemen and management staff, who have directly participated in the antiterrorist operation.

Given the numerous appeals of the family members of the soldiers, at the previous plenary session of the Regional Council on 30.09.2014, the deputies of the regional council appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for consideration of this issue. The regional state administration also appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on this issue (dd. 15.09.2014 № 06-7 / 1807), but the funds for housing for families of Transcarpathian soldiers still have not been allocated.

Meanwhile, as of October 30, 2014, in the zone of the antiterrorist operation, 26 Transcarpathian soldiers have been killed, families of twelve of which are in dire need of better housing conditions, whereon relatives of victims and NGOs have repeatedly appealed to local authorities.

For these reasons, in connection with numerous public appeals and to relieve social tension, we re-appeal with a request to allocate funds from the state budget for the purchase of housing for the families of fallen Transcarpathian soldiers – participants of the antiterrorist operation" – the appeal of the deputies to the Cabinet of Ministers reads.
