Uzhgorod dance ensemble of the Center for creative development of children and adults "Zefirchyk-zirati" returned from Greece, where they took part in the choreography competition, held as part of the International Festival of Folklore and Art "Balkan fest-2014".
Seventeen groups from ten countries presented their dance acts to the audience and the jury. But the Uzhgorod collective garnered the most attention, applause and took the first prize for their skillful and emotional performance of Ukrainian, Hungarian and gypsy dances, proving that art unites people.
By the way, our dance collective was the only Ukrainian collective in the competition, and, realizing
this, the children presented our country very seriously and proudly, they were sincere and open to
dialogue, became friends with participants from other countries. The competition organizer gave the
Uzhgorod children an opportunity to visit Meteors and Olympus, where they raised Ukrainian blue
and yellow flag!
