State Protection Service assures that they are 100% ready for election
This year has brought Ukrainians many changes and hard times: the change of the government, signing of the association agreement with the EU, and then the ratification of it. The changes in the Parliament are also at hand, and therefore Ukraine remains on the verge of great changes. However, it is up to each and every citizen of the country what kind of changes they will be. As always, order and security during the election campaign will be ensured by law enforcement officers, including the employees of the State Protection Service Office in Transcarpathian region.
- Ensuring peaceful election process, protection of polling stations, prevention of disruption of work at polling stations and the Central Election Commission are the main tasks of law enforcement - the deputy chief of the State Protection Service Office in Transcarpathian region, Police Lieutenant Colonel Serhiy Bondar says.
- All personnel throughout the region are 100 percent ready for patrolling and protection in emergency mode. Officers of the State Protection Service and the regional policemen will be given adequate instructions. I can assure you that the officers will be provided with all necessary material and technical equipment, - Serhiy Bodnar said.
The provision of polling stations with means of protection has already started. Though in Transcarpathian region, compared to other regions, usually elections take place peacefully, State Protection Service officers promise to be vigilant.
- In view of the events that take place today in our country, anything can happen during the election. No matter what incidents we may encounter, we promise to fulfill our tasks. In turn, I want to appeal to the people of the region: if you notice illegal actions during the election or the election campaign (threats, vote buying etc.), please immediately contact the police. The State Protection Service will make every effort to enable residents of the region to safely make their choice, - the deputy chief of the State Protection Service Office in Transcarpathian region, Police Lieutenant Colonel Serhiy Bondar assured.
