Slovakia will consider increasing the reverse gas supply to Ukraine – the Head of the Eustream

Slovakia will consider increasing the reverse supply of natural gas to Ukraine.

This was stated by the CEO of the Eustream, gas transmission system operator in Slovakia, Tomas Maresek in an interview to Reuters.

"We will analyze proposals of the "Ukrtransgas" to increase capacity of the "Voyany- Uzhgorod" pipeline (transports gas from Slovakia to Ukraine – Ed.) in order to increase the reverse supply," – he said.

Maresek also said that Ukraine should not worry about possible cuts in gas supplies from Slovakia.

"We are using almost 100% of the capacity, and do not expect reduction this winter, like in Poland or Hungary, as the volume of gas in our systems clearly outweighs reverse supply capacity" – he said.

Recall that the pipeline "Voyany-Uzhgorod", which will transport gas from Slovakia to Ukraine, was officially opened on September 2, around 13.45.

Earlier it was reported that natural gas supplies to Ukraine from Slovakia on October 20 reached the record level of 27.6 million cubic meters per day.
