For the the second consecutive day, the charity event to gather apples, which recently was launched by the management of Tyachiv district state administration, has been taking place in the gardens of the former state farm-factory in the village of Ruske Pole.
October 7, students of Tyachiv professional lyceum and Ruske Pole secondary school with their teachers joined the initiative. Within a few hours, participants
of the campaign gathered over a hundred bags of apples.
Today, October 8, the district state administration staff, together with the head Petro Holubka and the deputy head Vasyl Kahanets also joined the campaign. The staff of Tyachiv Social Welfare Department and the head of the Department Vasyl Bonka also took part in the event.
- It's nice that in addition to young people, the initiative was actively supported by employees of the district state agencies who volunteered to work to support the military and with their labor to contribute to a charitable cause, - Petro Holubka said. Also, he thanked all the participants of the campaign.
As employees of state institutions were working diligently, they gathered a considerable harvest. Their total contribution to the charitable cause was about 10 tons of ripe apples.
And since this year apple trees are remarkably fruitful, this campaign will continue for several more days. Volunteers and all active residents of the district are invited to participate in the charity event.
The proceeds from the sale of the fruit will be transferred to the charity fund "Silver Land", which will use them for the needs of the army.
