In Mizhhirya district, in the village of Matachiv, a two-week national plein air entitled "Love from the Carpathians for peace in Ukraine" finished recently. It was curated by artist Tetyana Myalkovska.

The creative project was attended by 21 artists from Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Sumy, Rivne, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and other cities and regions of Ukraine.
The Plein Air had the status of a charitable event. So, after the plein air, there was an exhibition and auction of paintings to support Ukrainian troops and wounded ATO soldiers. 6 paintings were sold for 12,500 UAH, which will be used for charity. Painters have a common belief that their peaceful landscapes will help end the war, and beauty will save the world from danger.
Following the plein air in Lviv, the audience will also be able to visit the exhibition and sale of works. It will take place at the Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life as part of the nationwide charity project "Artists for warriors" and will run through November 2, 2014.
