Baloha: "If the current Cabinet of Ministers were required to undergo polygraph test..."
"Personally, I voted this week for all anti-corruption laws. And I will vote for them in the second reading. As a deputy, I fulfilled my duty. If they initiate real fight against corruption in this country, I will applaud to that. However, I have serious doubts it will happen" - the politician Victor Baloha said.
He wrote on his Facebook: "Why? For many years, there has been the Criminal Code in Ukraine, which allows prosecuting any dishonest and indecent official. But there has been no real fight against corruption.
And there is no now. Because of this, the law of the street and brute force prevails. Trash container is a good way of lustration, but too subjective. The law "On lustration of power"? I voted for it too and look forward to enactment of it. However, it is a lustration by formal criteria. It creates barriers for former Communists, KGB agents and friends of Yanukovych. However, the law does not guarantee that honest people will come to power.
Because of this, I believe that the newly elected Parliament should expand it in terms of polygraph screening of each candidate for the first category public service office. Personally, I'm ready for this step. I am ready to undergo a lie detector test tomorrow with any minister, prosecutor, judge. I have nothing to hide. Working in the public service has always cost me additional spending. But never has it been the source of income, even in small things. Being the Minister, I never used service cars. Being a deputy, I have never taken advantage of benefits and free domestic flights."
"But if the current Cabinet of Ministers were required to undergo polygraph test, I am sure that only one, maybe two persons would pass it" - Victor Baloha said.
Почему людей, которые занимаются предпринимательской деятельностью с нуля, умные бизнесмены, не ленивые ставят в один ряд с хабарниками и махинаторами?
