300 sets of furniture for Transcarpathian schools have been purchased

October 21, there was a meeting of the commission on education, science, culture, spirituality, youth policy, physical culture and sports, minorities and information policy of the regional council, headed by Professor Mykola Vehesh. The agenda included several issues crucial for the region. One of them was the approval of the list of secondary schools to supply sets of school furniture for first grade students in 2014.

For the needs of the region, 300 sets have been purchased with money from the regional budget. One set includes 15 student desks with shelves, 30 student chairs. All that is for first grade students. They, of course, will be delivered to "destination points", according to the request of cities and districts. The commission members distributed the sets and approved the final list of schools.

The deputies also considered the implementation of the important decision of the regional council dd. September 30, 2014 on the program of retrofitting budget institutions in Transcarpathia for alternative energy sources. It is about further activities to replace gas boilers with multifuel ones, working on wood and pellets.

Deputies also considered collective letters of applicants, appeals of individual departments and creative organizations.
