"Zakarpathaz" plans to invest over 16 million hryvnias in gas economy
"Zakarpathaz" PJSC has submitted to the National Commission for the State Regulation of Energy and Utilities the investment program for 2015 in the amount of 16.7 million hryvnias. Of this amount, 10.8 million hryvnias or 64.65% is planned to be used for the construction, reconstruction, modernization and repair of gas pipelines and structures.
Every year, the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC forms and submits to the Commission an investment program which specifies a list of planned investments for the next year. These measures will make it possible to maintain proper technical level and increase the reliability and safety of gas supply system operation in Transcarpathian region.
In recent years, the consumption of natural gas in Transcarpathian region has dropped from about 686.8 million cubic meters in 2011 to estimated 549.9 million cubic meters by the end of 2014. Due to the decline in gas consumption, the company's profit is decreasing, and the main source of financing for the investment program is the activities realized through depreciation and profit.
The Investment Program provides 495,000 UAH for introduction and development of the remote gas supply control system. 311,000 UAH is provided for the purchase of equipment to diagnose the state of the gas supply system, and 1 million - for the purchase of two emergency vehicles VW Transporter for operational services.
Under the investment program, it is planned to install 1300 free meters for consumers and to replace 419 unsuitable domestic rotary meters.
