Uzhgorod residents were reminded of the Afghan war (PHOTOS)
Yesterday, in the center of Uzhgorod, there was a several hours long charity concert of the amateur group of soldiers, who have participated in the Afghanistan war, "Dolg", where they were raising funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The unique vocal and instrumental group, that was created at the Ternopil regional organization of the Ukrainian Afghanistan Combatant Union by former Afghanistan combatants, started its career in 1987, immediately after the first All-Union conference of Afghanistan combatants of the former USSR (took place in Ashgabat).
In 2004, the band "Dolg" was honored with the title of the "People's Amateur Group."
Their songs are a memory of the Afghan war, a tribute to the courage, steadfastness, loyalty of "Afghans", who went through its crucible, commemoration of fallen fellow soldiers. Lyrics of the group leave no one indifferent, they make people think about what it is that is worth of blood of Ukrainian soldiers.
Although not so many people came to Teatralna Square to hear the band (due to bad time for the concert), the boxes for money to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine were not empty. And on the square, there was an atmosphere of lust for life.
