Uzhgorod residents learned about the liberation of the city from Nazi occupation (PHOTOS)
Last night, in the regional center of Transcarpathia, as planned, there was a night tour, whose theme was "Back to USSR". This time it was timed to the day of liberation of Uzhgorod from the Nazis (October 27, 1944).
It is known from history, that in October 1944, in the course of the Carpathian-Uzhgorod operation, the liberation of the entire territory of Ukraine was completed: on October 27, Uzhgorod, and the next day, Chop and the rest of the settlements of Transcarpathian Ukraine were liberated from the occupants.
The tour participants learned that from Orest Kohut, while visiting landmarks of the regional center of Transcarpathia associated with the liberation.
A little bit of atmosphere is in the photo.
