The protocol on the need to build a road bridge "Bila Tserkva - Sighetu" was signed back in 1997, as it would significantly reduce the load on the main checkpoint "Dyakove-Halmeu" and would make it possible to combine tourist routes of the Carpathian region of Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and Romania, which are becoming more popular every year.

Currently, the Ukrainian government has appealed to Romania on the possibility of opening the checkpoint in Yablunivka - Remeta and Bila Tserkva - Sighetu Marmatiei.

Anton Rokhian said that last year, Ukrainian and Romanian parties undertook a more practical steps for the construction of the bridge. In Romania, they have announced a tender for the production of construction documents, it is expected to be produced by April next year. The project itself can be implemented in a year. It is expected that the bridge will be designed for four rows and will be arched.
