Transcarpathian authorities will help the military camp that the MOD has left to their own devices, and will provide participants of the ATO with firewood and medicines
The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal on Thursday, November 6, held a meeting with representatives of military units and law enforcement agencies, social and other services of the region. Its purpose was to determine how to help the military camp in Mukachevo, where relocated soldiers are stationed and to give them concrete help. On the territory of the derelict military unit, soldiers live in unacceptable conditions and the regional authorities, despite the fact that the facility is within the responsibility of the Ministry of Defense, can not stand by and want to provide at least the most urgent needs.
The management of the region - the head of the RSA Vasyl Hubal and the Regional Council Chairman Volodymyr Chubirko - yesterday visited the camp, already appealed to the Ministry of Defence with the letter requesting to improve conditions of soldiers; the deputy of Ukraine Victor Baloha also sent his appeal to the Minister of Defence Stepan Poltorak. However, soldiers need help urgently, therefore Vasyl Hubal initiated the discussion of how to do it and instructed the responsible services.
First, they engaged Mukachevo city executive committee to ensure sanitary conditions in the camp. State forestries of the region will provide materials for the installation of latrines and the social service will provide beds and bedding.
Tomorrow, during the second visit to the camp, the managment of the region will determine specific aid - the military should provide suggestions on how to improve their conditions and to tell about their needs in detail. But by that time, the work must already have been started.
Also, at the meeting, they discussed assistance to Transcarpathian soldiers in the ATO area. Thus, a shipment of firewood, wood for dugouts and other necessary things has been prepared for them.
By the way, volunteers are invited to escort the cargo and to ensure that all things will be delivered exactly where they are needed. And right at the meeting, Vasyl Hubal and Volodymyr Chubirko handed the military, border guards and police officers the medications provided for the needs of the ATO participants by foreign partners of Transcarpathia.
