The work of craftsmen, who hid cigarettes, was appreciated on merit (PHOTOS)
A cigarette to a cigarettes, a pack to a pack, a board to a board, a carton to a carton. Chop customs officers really appreciated all those efforts - they drew up a report on violation of customs regulations and seized the tobacco products as well as the timber, used for transportation of cigarettes across the customs border of Ukraine.
As previously reported, November 19, at the customs post "Uzhgorod", an attempt of cigarette smuggling was prevented. At that time, they were counting the tobacco products and recorded the breach of customs legislation.
Currently, these proceedings have been completed and we can announce the exact amount of the confiscated tobacco products and the identity of the person brought to justice.
So, the truck, carrying pallet blanks worth more than EUR 4,600, contained 50,500 hidden packs of tobacco products, including - 14,900 packs of "Prima Silver Red", 14,400 packs of "Prima Silver Blue", 9,800 packs of "L&M blue label", 9,600 packs of "L&M red label", these cigarettes were with excise stamps of Ukraine, and 1,800 packs of "Fest 7", which were also found among the contraband, were without excise stamps at all. The tobacco products were hidden in specially manufactured recesses measuring 105x9x1,3 cm along the perimeter of each board, that were stacked on each other.
